This was my first-ever attempt at taking deep sky astrophotography. The object M8, commonly known as Lagoon Nebula, is an emission nebula located about 5200 light-years from Earth. The first image was processed using Hubble Palette, where data from the HSO channel were assigned to green, red, and blue colors in the RGB image. The second image appears more reddish, as it is composed primarily of hydrogen and closer to its natural color.l couldn't describe the excitement l felt when it first appeared on my screen。 The process was challenging- lugging over 25kg of equipment( l was working out lol), being out in the middle of nowhere (constantly alert for wildlife), and staying up all night, but being able to gaze at the stars were all part of this magical experience. I'm grateful for the journey and the wonderful people l met along the way!
